Which ages belong at a wedding kids' table, where to put it, how to keep children busy through dinner and speeches, and when kids should sit with their parents.
A kids' table works best for children roughly five to twelve, placed where their parents can see it but not in the middle of the room. Children under about five sit with their parents, and teenagers usually sit with the adults or at their own table. Give the table something to do (activity packs, a simple game) and a meal served early, and it will be the happiest table at the wedding.

Seat children at the same table sizes as the adults. A 60-inch round that seats eight adults comfortably takes eight to ten children. If you have more children than fit one table, split them by age rather than creating one enormous table: the under-eights and the over-eights want different things.
Parents plan differently if their child will be at a kids' table. Let them know when the RSVPs come in, so they can bring a favourite toy or tablet and headphones, and so a parent of a nervous child can ask for them to sit with the family instead.
