How many tables 75 wedding guests need at every standard table size, how to split guests evenly, the floor space it takes, and what matters at this size.
For 75 guests on 60-inch round tables seating eight, plan 11 tables: 10 to seat 73 guests plus one spare, with the two of you at a sweetheart table. On 72-inch rounds seating ten it's 9 tables, and on 8-foot rectangles seating eight it's 11. Allow roughly 750 to 900 square feet for the seating alone, before the dance floor and bar.

Consider one or two long tables. At this size everyone can sit together, which removes any sense of a "better" table. Open seating can work if most guests know each other and the meal is a buffet or family-style. Reserve family tables either way. Do you need a seating chart for a small wedding? Tables that are too big feel empty. Ask the venue for smaller rounds rather than spreading guests thinly across 72-inch tables.
